ASC continues the exciting Sci-Files project in fine fashion once again. His old classic, Offworld Tides, get's a nice little overhaul, and goes even deeper than before. Injecting new life into the apache breaks, and the subtle keys and gorgeous pads, this track is full to the brim with emotion. Finishing off this installment is the highly imaginative Firesign. Not a single snare drum in sight, the track glides along on lo-fi soundscapes not to dissimilar to the old Basic Channel / Chain Reaction sound in some ways. The way the track fuses two sets of kick drums, one to roll it out, and the other for rhythm, is nothing short of genius. If you've been waiting to hear something different in drum & bass for years, then this track is definitely for you.
